Men love and express love in myriad ways. An old-fashioned guy  is happy to put food on the table as his way of showing his feelings, kind of like saying “I love our family and I will ensure our survival.” A sentimental man will send romantic letters or pay for a sky written ad.  Someone creative will paint your portrait or compose a poem. Anyway, you get the picture, right? It is basically through their actions that men actually express how they feel about you. 1. He says “I love you,” loudly, clearly and with no prompting from you and when he says it, he has a special glint in his eye.  Saying “I love you” to him first with him responding likewise doesn’t count. It is those special moments when he blurts it out that signify the true state of his feelings.2. He is proud of you. He tells his family and friends about your great points. He talks about your achievements as if they were his own. In turn, his family and friends treat you warmly and are just as solicitous of you when you’re around.3. He looks after your welfare. He knows your dreams and ambitions and is not afraid of them. He supports you by finding ways of accomplishing them. If you need to work late at the office, he doesn’t make a fuss. If you’re late for a date because you had to attend to a pressing detail, he graciously accepts your apologies.6. He respects you. He listens to your ideas and is mindful of your opinions. Your advice is important to him. He rarely takes a crucial step without consulting you first. Your choices, from the mundane to the significant, matter to him. 7. He shares with you. Even though he is uncomfortable talking about personal stuff, he finds the courage to talk about his life, his past, his feelings, his anxieties and hopes.  And he is just as interested in your thoughts and emotions and whatever else you wish to share with him.8. He desires to be intimate with you. He just doesn’t want to sleep with you. When he embraces you it is as if he wants to breathe you in. He wants to bond with you in a physical and emotional sense. When he’s away from you, he calls you for no reason at all and ends up chatting for longer than expected. He finds ways to be “with you” even when you’re away from one another.9. He is protective of you. He will fight your battles, if you let him. Should  someone hurt you, even inadvertently, he will want to confront that person on your behalf. At the same time he will try to soothe your worries by downplaying them because he wants to make you feel better.10. He sees you in his future. You may not be living together and he may not be ready to move in with you or ask for your hand in marriage, but when he speaks of a future,  you figure prominently in it.
